On February 7, 2016, Deputy Jonas Saunders conducted a traffic stop on Moore Lane in the Highland Park community of Williamsburg. The vehicle was being driven by 20-year-old Brandon Blaylock and was occupied by three females. One female passenger, 36-year-old Sonya Cole, had an active warrant for her arrest.
During the investigation, a plastic bag containing what’s believed to be “ice” methamphetamine was located within a pants pocket of 27-year-old Felicia A. Blakley. After receiving consent to search the vehicle, a hypodermic needle and a pill believed to be clonazepam were found.
Blakley was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (meth), third-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance not in its original container.
Blaylock, Cole and the fourth passenger, 33-year-old Crystal Bunch, were arrested and charged with third-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance not in its original container.
Assisting in the investigation was Whitley County Sheriff Sergeant Kirk Mays and Williamsburg Police Department Officers Ashley Wampler and Elijah Hunter.
