Around 11 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016, an anonymous source reported that a female was in possession of, and may have been attempting to sell, methamphetamine at a business near Corbin. Deputy Jonas Saunders went to the business and located a female matching the description provided by the anonymous source.
Dep. Saunders spoke with Wendy B. Blanton, 32, of the Rockholds community, about the complaint and asked if she was in possession of any illegal items. Blanton denied possessing any illegal items, but a search led to the finding of a plastic bag containing a white powdery substance believed to be meth.
Blanton was arrested and is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (meth) and public intoxication. Dep. Saunders was assisted by Sergeant Kirk Mays.
