On 03-18-2016 deputies responded to collision and vehicle fire on Hwy 904 in Siler, KY. The collision occurred on the far east side of Hwy 904 approximately 1 mile from Hwy 92E. First on scene was a firefighter from Patterson Creek Fire Dept who radioed in the collision reporting it was on fire. After the fire was controlled before deputies arrived on scene, firefighters noticed a body inside the vehicle. The vehicle was traveling west on Hwy 904 towards Gatliff Mountain from Hwy 92E. It appeared as if the vehicle merged off the right side of the roadway. After the vehicle left the roadway it struck a tree head on. The vehicle then caught fire in the front end area. No evidence of loss of control or braking was located at the scene. The seat belt was not in use. Some empty alcoholic beverage containers was observed in the center console, passenger side front floor, and the front passenger seat. Alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor in the collision. The only occupant, the driver, was Sharon Mills from Ingram, KY which is located on Hwy 92 outside of Pineville, KY. Mills was deceased upon arrival at the scene. Mills was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Malibu.
